Now Using Dilation Reversal Drops

Dilation drops can be a real nuisance for many people. The temporary blurry vision and sensitivity to light can be frustrating, especially if you have a busy schedule or hours of computer work to do. While dilation is a necessary step in many eye exams, it's understandable that patients would prefer to minimize its duration or find alternative methods that achieve the same goal without the discomfort.

Our office recently started using a dilation reversal drop called Ryzumvi. Ryzumvi is a newly FDA-approved eye drop that limits the discomfort and inconvenience associated with traditional dilation drops. By rapidly reversing the effects of dilation, Ryzumvi can help patients regain their normal vision and reduce the duration of blurry vision and light sensitivity. The ability to see an improvement in vision within 30 minutes and near-normal vision at 60-90 minutes is a significant advantage.

We have not had any issues since introducing Ryzumvi, the dilation reversal drop. While some minor eye irritation or redness is a possible side effect, it has been minimal. We hope this new dilation reversal drop will make the eye examination experience at least a little bit better!
